Product description +
To create The Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch 6, Malt Master David Stewart MBE expertly hand selected 21 of the finest and most precious casks from The Balvenie’s stocks and married them together in Tun 1509, a large oak marrying vessel that sits proudly in the distillery’s Warehouse 24.
David C. Stewart MBE used liquid from 21 of The Balvenie’s rarest and most precious casks to create Tun 1509. He used liquid from Sherry Refill Butts, Ex Bourbon American Oak Barrels and DoubleWood Refill Sherry Butts, which were used once to finish DoubleWood before being filled with New Make and aged.
Tun 1509 Batch 6 continues the legacy of Tun ranges Tun 1401 and Batches 1 5 of Tun 1509 which are now highly sought after by connoisseurs and collectors the world over. Approximately 700 cases of The Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch 6 have been produced for worldwide distribution.
The Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch 6 is non chill filtered and has a higher strength ABV of 50.4%.
