Owned by 3 generations of the same family, the Chateau Grand Peyrou estate spans 20 hectares of land with various types of soil that allow for the creation of different cuvées. The tight collaboration between the technical and trading aspects of the business, managed by the son and father respectively, ensures a focus on rigorous work and terroir expression as the keys to success.
The soil composition of clayey-calcareous on the lower part of hillsides, coupled with 40-year-old vines on average, contributes to the unique character of this wine. With a blend of Merlot (80%), Cabernet Franc (15%), and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%), this wine undergoes traditional vinification in steel tanks with a cold pre-fermented maceration process.
