In 1923, Shinjiro Torii, the founder of Suntory and the father of Japanese whisky, built Japans first malt whisky distillery in the Vale of Yamazaki. The distillerys location on the outskirts of Japans ancient capital of Kyoto offered pure waters, diversity of climate and high humidity the ideal environment for the maturation of good whisky. Today, Suntory Yamazaki is one of the most popular single malt whiskies in Japan and enjoyed by whiskey connoisseurs around the world.

Nose: Peach, pineapple, grapefruit, clove, candied orange, vanilla, Mizunara (Japanese oak)

Palate: Coconut, cranberry, butter
